My name is Jackson, but you can call me Jackie, Jackie Chan, or Jackie Boy. I love spending time with my favourite people, and I always enjoy getting my butt scratched! Despite my tall stature and heavier weight (I'm currently on a diet) I think of myself as a lap dog. I'll jump on you while sitting, snuggle and give you endless kisses!
My favourite things in the entire world are tennis balls and sticks! I LOVE them. I can play fetch for hours and will bark at you if you take too long to throw the ball. You might want to keep a large stock of balls, as I tend to chew on them with my big jaws to the point where they break in half. It's not my fault they feel nice of the teefs! I will require a home that can cater to my high-energy needs as I am constantly on the go.
I am good with other large dogs, as I once lived with four others at one point! Meet-and-greets are required with other dogs before adoption to ensure our energies work well together. We think it is best for Jackson to be in a home without cats, as he does have a strong prey drive.
While I like cuddling and napping in the car, I do not enjoy cars passing us on the road as it tends to freak me out. They need to slow down anyway; it's not a race! While I love eating (especially sticks), I have been told that I am prohibited from consuming anything with chicken. I am a Shepherd mix, and we are commonly allergic to chicken. I'll stick to beef, lamb, and fish from now on!
The easiest way to my heart is by scratching my itchy butt. I become weak at the knees when you do it, and I'll start shaking my booty. However, if you dare to stop, I'll give you the death stare until you resume the scratching. You'll end up scratching my butt all day!
